Laughter yoga for business & groups

Many businesses choose laughter yoga workshops for their staff for a variety of reasons.

Team building workshops: Laughter yoga is one of the quickest and most effective ways to unite groups effortlessly. Laughing together naturally releases any stress and tension and leads to a deep sense of connection with those we laugh with. It can assist in letting go of physical and mental stress and anxiety allowing the participants to be open and relaxed and feel good.

Productivity: HR & management often choose laughter yoga workshops for their business as a way to increase the productivity of their staff. Laughing together in a group lifts the mood by releasing endorphins allowing staff to more easily work harmoniously together. It increases oxygen to the brain allowing for more energy and better performance. Also there is a saying which says haha leads to aha - which effectively means, when we are light and open after laughing together there is more space and openness allowing fresh, new and creative insights to arise which is very helpful in creative environments and offices that problems need solving etc.

What is laughter yoga?

Laughter Yoga is very different to what you might expect of a yoga class - but in many ways I feel it lives up to its name. Yoga means to join or to unite, and with laughter yoga we join, unite and connect with each other through laughing together. We also experience a sense of harmony within ourselves as we relax and let go of noisy minds and physical stress, which is what you should expect with any good yoga session.

It is good to come to a class with no expectations at all - that way everything is a bonus and we really can't tell how a class will turn out, every time it is unique. But, at the same time, every time we laugh. We laugh as a kind of physical exercise as opposed to humorous or entertaining laughter. This way it is very universal so no one can be left out of the joke - because there isn't one :)

For the time we are at a laughter class, we forget about all the usual rules of society etc. and just let loose and allow ourselves a little craziness for at least this short time. We are guided through relaxation, breathing and laughter exercises very easily.

In the end we don't know how it happened or what happened, but we feel present, alive and surrounded by smiling faces after having had a good session of laughing yoga.

Everyone is welcome. Nothing special is required - just your Presence is enough :)

Hi , Aoife here I love laughing & was delighted to discover & experience "laughter yoga". I trained to become a leader in 2014 & have been running regular pop-up laughing classes around Dublin. All are welcome to join,no previous experience necessary :)
